  • Donations: Gene Irvin who has been a great supporter of the club, donated $750.00 Thanks Gene. Several members have purchased and donated Christmas lights, Thanks!!!! You know who you are.

  • February Meeting: Many items pertaining to the June show were discussed, the fact that we were having the show on the same weekend as Lathrop was discussed. The date is set in stone at this time and nothing could be done about this. I am very sorry that this happened and relay my apologies to the Lathrop club. It was reported that Don and Lillian Hill had taken down most of the Christmas lights, thanks a bunch. We discussed having the Garden Tractor pullers here again this year and have invited them back on a date suitable to them. We voted not to have a tractor pull this summer other than the ones at the June show. We also were going to have the Micro Mini pullers here but due to the date conflict, they will not be coming.

  • March Meeting: Eric silver reported that the club’s Dodge Power Wagon is in the shop; and almost finished, and ready for the truck shows. Discussion about the tractor pull awards have led us to purchase hats with our club logo on them to replace the belt buckles which we have given out in the past. We have exhausted our supply and needed to order more or change awards. We have voted to give a bag to the display registrants with the items, which they normally get, and add some items donated by local merchants. Things are progressing well towards our Swap Meet and the annual June Show. Before the meeting the members met at the restaurant in Adrian for good food and fellowship. Thanks Lillian and those who made these arrangements.

  • Swap Meet: This year’s meet was a huge success for the club. We had a total of 68 vendors. There were 29 first time vendors some from as far away, as Colorado and Minnesota. The weather could have been better but this is March and Missouri. The additional advertising was a great help in bringing in more vendors.

  • Duane’s Editorial: Just think about it there is only about two months to prepare for the June show. We all (myself included) need to think about and plan towards getting the Show Grounds ready for the show. There are always last minute things that need to be taken care of, mowing, landscaping and general policing of the grounds. There are floorboards to be replaced on the swinging bridge. Joseph and Jacob Villotti have sawed some oak for that purpose. This year there will be even more to do in preparation for the influx of the miniature and scale model builders, which will be here. We want to be at our best for this for this special event. What can each of us do, well we can just be available for and volunteer to do what ever needs to be done. During the show there are many things that must be done. Much help is needed in operating the trams and manning the various displays. This is our club and it is up to each of us to make it work and continue. We have an organization to be proud of lets keep it going that way.

  • Presidents Corner: Big thanks to the members that put on the Swap Meet and anybody who helped out.
I would like to see more members that want to help with the show and club come to our board meetings. Meetings are the second Thursday evening of the month at 7:00 PM in the show grounds office. Everyone has a voice in the operation of the club. I have lots of things to go over for this years show at April's meeting. Eric
